    Gerry Cohen is a television director and musician who started in the Los Angeles entertainment industry as a script reader for Aaron Spelling. During the late 1970s and first half of the 1980s, He worked constantly in the world of music television. On everything from American Bandstand to ABC’s live-late-night comedy sketch series Fridays to the annual American Music Awards, he was able to work with many of the major rock music acts of the era including The Clash, Madonna, King Crimson, The Cars, Joan Jett and the Pretenders, Simply Red, Pat Benatar, Devo, Graham Parker, Kiss, Culture Club, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, the Stray Cats, Heart, Jefferson Starship, Eddie Money, and Kool and the Gang.

    He began his career as a stage manager and associate director on the television series Fridays, The Golden Girls, Who's the Boss? and Married... with Children, making his directorial debut on the latter series.

    His other television credits include The Drew Carey Show, Unhappily Ever After, The Norm Show, The Help, Run of the House, George Lopez, Still Standing, Greddie, Anger Management and a number of other series. His most recent credit was directing 11 episodes of the FOX sitcom, Rel from 2018 to 2019.
