Otto Oscar Binder [1] ( / ˈbɪndər /; [2] August 26, 1911 [3] – October 13, 1974) [1] was an American author of science fiction and non-fiction books and stories, and comic books. He is best known as the co-creator of Supergirl and for his many scripts for Captain Marvel Adventures and other stories involving the entire superhero Marvel Family.

Otto Binder was a writer for National Periodical Publicatons (later DC Comics). He is recognized for his extensive contributions to both the Golden and Silver Age era of super-hero comic strips. He was also half of the science-fiction writing team Eando Binder, for Earl and Otto Binder, brother authors of the Adam Link robot stories.
