She had been diagnosed in 2005 with a terminal condition known as myelodisplasia She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald S. Bustany, daughter Kristen Nicole Kessler, and son Geoffrey Kessler, brother Richard Licata and sister Loretta Hart.
