Maurice Pialat, né le 31 août 1925 à Cunlhat (Puy-de-Dôme) et mort le 11 janvier 2003 dans le 6 e arrondissement de Paris [1], est un réalisateur de cinéma français. Après avoir d'abord voulu être peintre , Maurice Pialat réalise au cours des années 1950 et 1960 des courts métrages amateurs puis professionnels.
