Michael Piller (1948-2005) was a prolific TV writer and producer, best known for creating and overseeing Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and The Dead Zone. He also wrote and co-wrote several Star Trek films and episodes, as well as other shows like Miami Vice and Legend.
