She retraces their steps in Japan, where they were imprisoned as Italian citizens during World War II, and tells their story through animation, maps, voices and Dogugaeshi screens.
After they split, McDonald went on to marry Italian actor and film maker Mujah Maraini-Melehi in 1999 and have two children. Aniston married Pitt a year later after a failed engagement to actor Tate Donovan. McDonald died in 2007 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
