A pioneer of blues music for over 50 years, John Mayall and his original band, the Bluesbreakers, featured some of the greatest musicians of all time, including Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, and Mick Fleetwood to name a few.
John Mayall OBE (born 29 November 1933) is an English blues and rock musician, songwriter and producer. In the 1960s, he formed John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers , a band that has counted among its members some of the most famous blues and blues rock musicians.
Living the Blues is the third album by Canned Heat, a double album released in late 1968. It was one of the first double albums to place well on album charts. It features Canned Heat's signature song, "Going Up the Country", which would later be used in the Woodstock film. John Mayall appears on piano on "Walking by Myself" and "Bear Wires".

Mar 28, 2022 · It seems a bit hard to believe, but after 65 years, John Mayall is about to play the last two live shows of his illustrious career, the last one scheduled for March 26 at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California. Given that the blues legend is 88 years old, retirement certainly seems appropriate.
