Angels Flight ® is open every day from 6:45 am to 10 pm, including weekends and holidays. Fare. The fare is $1.00 each way and you can purchase a souvenir round trip ticket for $2.00 to take a piece of history home with you. A $0.50 Metro fare discount is available for TAP Card users with Stored Value for a one-way trip.

May 18, 2023 · Built into a hillside in Downtown Los Angeles, it's hard to miss this vintage gem. Angels Flight only runs for one block (298 feet to be exact), but it's a steep one. It links the Grand Central Market at the bottom to the Water Court shopping mall at the top, connecting Hill and Olive Streets.
Angels Flight is a very short but useful railroad traveling up a steep hillside in downtown Los Angeles. The view from the top is great, and it's actually quite a convenience for getting up or down the hill.

Built in 1901 by Colonel J.W. Eddy, lawyer, engineer, and friend of President Abraham Lincoln, Angels Flight is said to be the world’s shortest incorporated railway. The counterbalanced cars, controlled by cables, travel a 33 percent grade for 315 feet.
