Charles Edward Pogue Jr. (born January 18, 1950) is an American screenwriter, playwright and stage actor. He is best known for writing the screenplays of The Hound of the Baskervilles (1983), Psycho III (1986), The Fly (1986) and Dragonheart (1996).
Screenwriter-playwright Charles Edward Pogue began his career with a pair of scary classics, PSYCHO III and THE FLY. Hailed as a “masterpiece of horror”, THE FLY made the National Board of Review’s top ten films of the year.
Pogue is a recognized playwright and screenwriter and is well know for the films The Fly, D.O.A., and Dragonheart. This is the home for his original scripts as well as adapted works.
