Pat Falken Smith (January 21, 1926 – May 19, 2001) was a television writer, best known for her being head writer of several soap operas, including General Hospital and Days of Our Lives.
Pat Falken Smith was a former head writer for the ABC soap opera General Hospital. Smith took over from Douglas Marland as the head writer of General Hospital from 1979 to 1981. Under Smith's writing and Gloria Monty's production, the show continued to lead the daytime ratings.
