Severinsen was born in Arlington, Oregon, to Minnie Mae (1897–1998) and Carl Severinsen (1898–1972). [1] .
Doc Severinsen, who has been celebrated as America’s favorite trumpet player for more than half a century, has played what was billed as his final concert. The performance took place on August 27, 2022, at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
