Buck Taylor once said in the late 2000s, “Good guys win, and bad guys lose” (Taylor Buck. Personal interview. 01 October 2021). Dec 2, 2011 · After CBS canceled Gunsmoke in 1975, Taylor got serious about Western history, in his acting and in his art. He became obsessed with looking authentic in his acting roles. “It got so when I went in to get my wardrobe, they’d lay off me,” he recalls. “They’d say, ‘He knows what he wants. Just let him pick it.’”.
