Genio de Groot (Maastricht, 11 januari 1953) is een Nederlands acteur, regisseur, schrijver en televisie- en theatermaker. Hij is de zoon van het Maastrichtse kunstenaarsechtpaar Theo de Groot en Miets Crolla. In 1977 studeerde hij af aan de Utrechtse Academie voor Expressie door Woord en Gebaar.
