Although he was only 48 and one of the youngest cast members, he was cast in a role many years his senior, as the elderly Lance Corporal Jones in the BBC sitcom Dad's Army, which ran for nine series and 80 episodes between 1968 and 1977. DAD'S Army star Clive Dunn has died aged 92 after a short illness. The actor played Corporal Jones in the hit sitcom and was beloved for his catchphrases "Don't panic!" and "They don't like it up em!". Dunn's agent Peter Charlesworth said he would be sorely missed. "He will be a real loss to the acting profession."
