How old was Percy Edwards when he died?
Percy discovered his talent for talking like animals aged seven. Eventually he could produce the sound of over 600 birds, and some other beasts (his was the voice of the killer whale in Orca, the alien in Alien and he provided sheep noises for Kate Bush's song The Dreaming). Percy Edwards died aged 88 in 1996.

Edwards championed Miller for the rest of his life, insisting that the comedian's reputation as a mean man stemmed purely from those that knocked him. He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1993 for services to ornithology and entertainment. In 2009, Sir David Attenborough presented a special BBC radio panel game, The Percy Edwards Showdown, dedicated to Edwards's life and career. He is buried in the churchyard of St Mary's, Polstead, Suffolk.
