Mar 28, 2021 · I think that Tony was cast in the role of "Cowboy" originally and I'm not sure how Tom McKitterick was cast in that role eventually but it worked out for me. TV STORE ONLINE: One of the most memorable scenes in THE WARRIORS comes right near the beginning of the film when The Warriors go uptown for the big gang meeting.
At the meeting, a rival leader kills Cyrus, but a Coney Island gang called the Warriors is wrongly blamed for Cyrus' death. Before you know it, the cops and every gangbanger in town is hot on the Warriors' trail.
