Andrew McMillan (born 1988) is an English poet and lecturer. Biography. McMillan was born near Barnsley, South Yorkshire. He is the son of poet Ian McMillan. He studied at University of Lancaster, and then at University College London, and is now Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Ian McMillan FRSL (born 21 January 1956) is an English poet, journalist, playwright, and broadcaster. He is known for his strong and distinctive Yorkshire accent and his incisive, friendly interview style on programmes such as BBC Radio 3's The Verb. He lives in Darfield, the village of his birth.
