Cassidy Freeman (born April 22, 1982) is an American actress and musician. She is known for her roles as Tess Mercer in The CW's superhero drama Smallville, Amber Gemstone in the HBO series The Righteous Gemstones, Sage in the hit series The Vampire Diaries, and Cady Longmire in A&E's modern western Longmire.
- She has an impressive resume. Freeman is widely known for playing Amber Gemstone on The Righteous Gemstones, which documents the trials and tribulations of the world-famous Gemstone family.
- She did ballet as a child. Freeman revealed that she “grew up dancing ballet in Chicago.” The actress joked that she was much larger than other kids her age, so her mom told a little white lie to get her into classes.
- Her siblings are actors, too. Freeman confirmed that she comes from a family of performers. “Both of my older brothers are actors as well, so I sort of was surrounded by it,” she said.
