Jean Lyndsey Torren Marsh OBE (born 1 July 1934) is an English actress and writer. She co-created and starred in the ITV series Upstairs, Downstairs (1971–75), for which she won the 1975 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Rose Buck.
Jean Marsh is a British actress who starred in Doctor Who, Upstairs, Downstairs, and The House of Eliott. She also wrote novels and created two TV series based on them.
