Cornthwaite was a character actor best known for his roles in horror and thriller movies. Becoming enamored of acting as a teenager, he later acted in college. He began professional work on the stage in 1935, as well as being a radio announcer for American and Italian stations.
Biography. American actor born in St. Helens, Oregon, on 28 April 1917. He began his career as a stage actor in 1937 in a Shakespearean stage production.
