Jackie Cooper. John Cooper Jr. (September 15, 1922 – May 3, 2011) was an American actor and director. Known as Jackie Cooper, he began his career performing in film as a child, and successfully transitioned to adult roles and directing in both film and television.
Jackie Cooper was a versatile and prolific performer who starred in films, TV shows, and directed episodes of Superman and other series. He also served in the Navy Reserve and reached the rank of captain, earning the Legion of Merit and other honors.
