Akiel Julien was born in Grenada and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He attended Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts, where he majored in Musical Theatre and the Drama Intensive Program, graduating with honors. Soon after graduation, Akiel booked his first recurring role for TV on Family Channel’s hit drama and dance series The Next Step.
Since then, he’s made a few other appearances on reputable shows such as The Boys developed by Seth Rogan, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke, Wayne - Written by the writers of Deadpool, Canada’s Frankie Drake etc. Whenever Akiel isn’t in front of the camera he spends his days dancing and kicking it with family.
