Eileen Brennan (born Verla Eileen Regina Brennen; September 3, 1932 – July 28, 2013) [1] was an American actress. She made her film debut in the satire Divorce American Style (1967), followed by a supporting role in Peter Bogdanovich 's The Last Picture Show (1971), which earned her a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress .
Eileen Brennan died at age 80 on July 28, 2013 at her Burbank, California home after a battle with bladder cancer. She is survived by her two sons, Patrick (formerly a basketball player, now an actor) and Sam (a singer), from her first and only marriage in the late 1960s to mid-1970s.

She was 80. Brennan’s managers, Jessica Moresco and Al Onorato, said she died Sunday at home in Burbank after a battle with bladder cancer.
