James began his acting career at the age of 15 performing in HS and local theatre in the DFW area. He studied theatre at UT Arlington and upon leaving school he went into police work.
James started acting in Theatre in Texas at the age of 15. Landing his first one liner at 18 on Dallas (Who Shot JR episode, 1980). As a theatre major in High School and he decided his passion was acting.
