Louis Burton Lindley Jr. (June 29, 1919 – December 8, 1983), better known by his stage name Slim Pickens, was an American actor and rodeo performer. Starting off in the rodeo, Pickens transitioned to acting, and appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows. For much of his career, Pickens played mainly cowboy roles.
Slim Pickens was a cowboy actor who starred in many westerns and comedies, such as Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. He also wrote and did stunts for some TV shows and movies, and died of a brain tumor in 1983.
