Jackie Matisse (1931 – 17 May 2021), also known as Jaqueline Matisse Monnier, was a French artist. She was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, the eldest of the three children of Pierre Matisse and Alexina Duchamp. [1] [2] For a time she was married to the French banker, Bernard Monnier.

Once upon a time there was the daughter of Pierre Matisse, the great dealer of contemporary art in the United States. Jackie Matisse-Monnier (1931-2021) was therefore also the granddaughter of Henri Matisse, the giant of 20 th-century painting.
