College Football Hall of Fame. Daniel Oliver Hampton (born September 19, 1957) is an American former football defensive tackle who played for twelve seasons with the Chicago Bears from 1979 to 1990 in the National Football League (NFL). He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
Dan Hampton was a versatile and dedicated defensive lineman for the Chicago Bears from 1979 to 1990. He played in four Pro Bowls, six All-Pro teams, and won Super Bowl XX with the Bears in 1985.
