Rockingham Castle is a former royal castle and hunting lodge in Rockingham Forest, [1] approximately two miles north from the town centre of Corby, Northamptonshire, England.
The formal gardens of Rockingham Castle were completed in their present form after the English Civil War. The gardens are made up of several rising terraces, from the Terrace Lawn, to the Cross Garden, divided by our famous ‘Elephant’ Yew Hedge.

The Castle was built by William I and used regularly by the kings of England and their queens as a royal hunting lodge and administrative centre of Rockingham Forest until the C15 when it fell into disrepair.
