Jocelyn Denise Moorhouse (born 4 September 1960) is an Australian screenwriter and film director. She is best known for directing films Proof, How to Make an American Quilt, A Thousand Acres and The Dressmaker. Moorhouse has also collaborated with her husband, film director P. J. Hogan on films such as Muriel's Wedding (1994) and Mental (2012).

Twenty-one years ago, Moorhouse was handed the keys to the kingdom — or at least that’s how it felt at the time.
Director and screenwriter Jocelyn Moorhouse is a veteran of the Australian film industry and has been the force behind some of the best cinema ever made in this country, including producing some of her husband PJ Hogan's films. Moorhouse has also maintained a marriage and family of four children.
