Dereck Joubert (birth 3 March 1956, Johannesburg) is a South African-born filmmaker, author, conservationist and National Geographic explorer-in-residence based in Botswana. He is also the brother of well known South African artist and conservationist Keith Joubert.
As National Geographic Explorers in Residence, the couple influences public policy and perceptions. For over three decades, conservationists Beverly and Dereck Joubert have celebrated nature and wildlife in documentaries, books, scientific journals, photographs and magazine articles.
