Peter Bogdanovich ComSE (Serbian Cyrillic: Петар Богдановић; July 30, 1939 – January 6, 2022) was an American director, writer, actor, producer, critic, and film historian.
Peter originally was an actor in the 1950s, studying his craft with legendary acting teacher Stella Adler and appearing on television and in summer stock. In the early 1960s he achieved notoriety for programming movies at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Jan 6, 2022 · Peter Bogdanovich, the ascot-wearing cinephile and director of 1970s black-and-white classics like “The Last Picture Show” and “Paper Moon,” has died. He was 82. Bogdanovich died early Thursday morning at his home in Los Angeles, said his daughter, Antonia Bogdanovich. She said he died of natural causes.
