Soren won a Cine Golden Eagle award in 1979, along with director David McAllister, for his work on Search for Apollo. Soren is the director of the institute he founded in Orvieto, Italy for the University of Arizona. Soren's wife, Noelle Soren, is a former archaeologist and writer. Born October 7, 1946. Mini Bio. David Soren is a director, writer, and actor known for Captain Underpants (2017), Turbo (2013), and Merry Madagascar (2009). A DreamWorks veteran of twenty years, Soren has worked as a story artist on "The Road to El Dorado," "Chicken Run" and "Shrek." He then served as the head of story on the hit animated comedy, "Shark Tale."
