Jan 23, 2024 · Jan 23, 2024, 11:48 AM. The LaBrea Tar Pits are located on Wilshire Blvd in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles. Near the Tar Pits are the Petersen Auto Museum, which is excellent. Also, across the street from the Petersen is the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which is also excellent and has an excellent view of the Hollywood Sign.
