Tiritiri Matangi Island is a sanctuary offering a pest-free environment for rare and endangered wildlife. The bunkhouse is the only accommodation on Tiritiri Matangi. It is a communal facility and has limited availability as it is primarily used by volunteers and students carrying out work on the island.
