Patriot's Park (originally referred to as Brookside Park) is located on U.S. Route 9 along the boundary between Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow in Westchester County, New York, United States. It is a four-acre (1.6-ha) parcel with a walkway and several monuments.
Located on the cusp of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow lies a rolling green space known today as Patriot’s Park. Named for being the famous location of the capture of John André by local patriot militiamen in 1780, the park boasts the capture monument and memorial, but also features other last vestiges of other pieces of local history and folklore.
Patriot's Park - aptly named for its Revolutionary War place in history ( read the monuments of distinction) - is a wonderful place for couples and families alike. Playground access, sweeping pathway that circles the park is enjoyed by all including the relaxed walk over a center bridge to gaze at the stream below.

Patriots Park. The marshy area where Ichabod Crane first encountered the headless horseman has long since been drained, but its stream still flows through a park half in the village of Tarrytown and half in the village of Sleepy Hollow (Tarrytown owns and administers the whole park).
