Fisher Towers are a series of towers made of Cutler sandstone capped with Moenkopi sandstone and caked with a stucco of red mud located near Moab, Utah ( 38.7240°N 109.3083°W ). The Towers are named for a miner who lived near them in the 1880s. The Towers are world-renowned as a subject for photography and for its classic rock climbing routes.

Description. The Fisher Towers is one of the most difficult places in the desert to climb, but also one of the most spectacular. The towers are huge soaring fins of mud up to 1000 feet high. Nearly all the routes on the major towers are at least Grade IVs, and there is more than one Grade VI here.
Welcome to the Fisher Towers, possibly the most challenging area for rock climbers in the Desert Southwest. If you get good here, you can go climbing almost anywhere in the world and feel comfortable on any kind of ground, including desperate alpine terrain. Getting There.
