It does have some issues, but we still enjoy our hiking/kayaking trips there. The lake covers about 30 acres and the park itself is approximately 180 acres.

  4. Doe Run Lake Park is a 183-acre park that’s home to a 50-acre lake, hiking trails, and plenty of scenic nature and wildlife. It’s located off of KY 17 towards the southern end of Covington near Erlanger and Independence. It’s open daily from dawn to dusk.   7. Dec 2018 • Solo. Be forewarned. It is not easy to hike here away from the lake. It is suprisingly beautiful, but be aware if you hike here that the trails are in terrible shape, at times dangerous. Take extra caution. Guard rails have been destroyed, bridges have collapsed, trails are muddy and go up steep hills without significant foot support.
