Jun 4, 2024 · The Deerwood Ranch Wild Horse Ecosanctuary in the Laramie area will host a free wild horse day and adoption event on Saturday, June 8. Wild Horse and Burro Adoptions Available. According to a news release, the ranch will open its gates to visitors for free from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. The ranch features over 350 wild horses.
The public is invited to come visit the ranch and take a tour to see the beautiful wild Wyoming horses. See details, below, and read our Tour Info, Details and Restrictions (required). Reservations and payment ARE REQUIRED. 48 hours IN ADVANCE.

Deerwood Ranch is the oldest of only three such eco sanctuary ranches in the country that partner with the BLM to provide homes for wild horses. The 4700 acre ranch is home to 350 wild horses. Tours are offered daily May through September and you must make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance.
