The Four Corners (at the intersection on John and Crown Streets in Uptown Kingston) is billed as the "only intersection in the United States where 1700s stone houses stand on all our corners." The most famous of the four buildings is the Matthewis Persen House which dates to 1661. It is now a museum but is only open seasonally.
