The baby bison alone make the trip worthwhile but when coupled with the beautiful surroundings it is a "must see". It is also a great experience for those interested in prairie restoration.

May 20, 2024 · Dunn Ranch and Pawnee Prairie are restoring native grasslands in northern Missouri. Thousands of acres have been renewed. Visitors can view foliage and wildlife from a nature trail, viewing stations and by walking the grasslands.

Jun 6, 2022 · Bison at Dunn Ranch Prairie in Northwest Missouri were reintroduced in 2011 from Wind Cave National Park in South Dakota. The herd, which began with 35 genetically pure bison, now numbers around 140. The ranch’s bison share the prairie with a variety of plant and wildlife.
