Two foot paths enter the Demarest Nature Center immediately west of the Demarest Playground and Wakelee Athletic Field. One path crosses the Tenakill Brook on a foot bridge, the other proceeds north along the east side of the Tenakill.
The Demarest trails are a great place for a quiet stroll. There is a map at the entrance, off Wakelee Dr past the ball fields. There is also a map online on the nature center's website. Also, you could park on the street behind the high school and enter the paths there.
