Puyallup’s most significant historical building, the Meeker Mansion, still stands in the heart of downtown. Though it has endured many changes and several owners since it was originally built in 1890, the mansion has been beautifully restored to its late 19 th -century glory.
August 26, 1971. The Meeker Mansion Museum is a historic house in Puyallup, Washington, United States. It is the second of two homes in the city which were resided in by Oregon Trail pioneer Ezra Meeker, the first one being a cabin on the homestead claim which Meeker as well as Hunter Thompson and Will Brines purchased from Jerry Stilly in 1862.

A beautiful mansion that is currently being restored. Really can't beat the $5 admission price and it is clear the staff loves the mansion and its history. Restoration is currently underway on the ceilings - its kind of like an archeological dig since the restorers are removing 8 - 13 layers of paints to uncover the paintings hidden underneath.
