May 28, 2023 · My kids and I are big fans of the Boxcar children books, and we loved the first movie. The second movie, Surprise Island, is just as good! The animation in these movies is really neat. Very beautiful and unique. The voice acting is good. The movies follow the book storylines to a T. The movies are very clean, fun, and positive. Love it!
The kids spend the summer on a small island and discover the simple pleasures of exploring nature, using their imaginations and enjoying there own independence. Along the way they discover a family secret and the importance of second chances.
