  8. ADMISSION PROCEDURES and REQUIREMENTS. Path of Hope, Inc. was founded in 1976 as a Halfway House for male alcoholics, operated as such until 1981, then was licensed as a Chemi-cal Dependency Treatment Center. In 1983, a facility for the treatment of female alcoholics was opened.
