A crude oil worker finds tensions arising with his best friend when they are both sent to work at the small town where he failed out of school as a teenager.
Leaving rural Ireland, Paul Kelliher heads to London in search of greener pastures. There, he runs into Scotsman, Al Russell, who offers him a job which, unfortunately, is back in Ireland.
In London, he finds a job at an oil refinery and befriends a crude Scottish worker, but soon starts thinking about going back to school. One day, the job sends him and his Scottish friend back to Kerry.
