Cast. External links. Redemption: Kickboxer 5 (stylized on-screen as The Redemption) is a 1995 American direct-to-video martial arts film starring Mark Dacascos and directed by Kristine Peterson. The film is the fifth entry in the Kickboxer film series and the first to have a plot that does not revolve around a member of the Sloane family.
In this fifth and final installment of the action film franchise; retired kickboxer Matt Reeves vows to avenge the death of his protégé; a promising young fighter murdered by South African millionaire Negaal for refusing to join his underworld kickboxing federation. Negaal sends his enforcer Paul Croft to take out Reeves.
