Love at First Fight (French: Les Combattants) is a 2014 French romantic comedy film directed by Thomas Cailley. It was screened as part of the Directors' Fortnight section of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize in the Parallel Section.
“Les Combattants” (Love At First Fight), the feature debut of France’s Thomas Cailley, has won the Europa Cinemas Label as best European film in Cannes’ 2014 Directors’ Fortnight.

Jun 16, 2015 · Overall, Les Combattants is a slim film. Nonetheless, it picked up a fistful of honours in France last year, both at Cannes and the César Awards. Cailley, his cast and crew are no doubt pleased with this but British viewers will be mystified as to why. Les Combattants is diverting enough, but it is not exceptional. Visit Kieron Tyler’s blog
