What is Anderson Falls? A forty-four acre park near Hartsville and nine miles east of Columbus, featuring a cascading waterfall (amount of water varies significantly by local rain patterns) and two hiking paths of 1.75 and 2.25 miles.

Dedicated as a State Nature Preserve in 2004, Anderson Falls is a unique area to the otherwise flat Bartholomew County, with its steep-walled valleys and waterfall cascading down to its limestone bed.

The focal point of the park is the 14-foot high waterfall that occurs where Louisville Limestone overlies the less resilient Waldron Shale.
