An ex-con tries to go clean and gets a job working as a truck driver, when he discovers that his peers in the union are scamming money by creating phantom drivers on the payroll and splitting the extra cash amongst themselves.
A rookie trucker tries to expose his boss' rackets. Joe "Tom" Yateley is an ex-convict. Trying to leave his past behind, he decides to start working for the Hawlett Trucking company, which transports gravel. It's an aggressive company, where speed is everything. Doing too few runs in a day?
