Cashback is a 2006 British romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Sean Ellis. Originally exhibited as a short in 2004, it was expanded to feature length in 2006. Both versions were produced by Lene Bausager, starring Sean Biggerstaff and Emilia Fox.
Synopsis. After a painful break up with his first girlfriend Suzy (Michelle Ryan), Ben Willis (Sean Biggerstaff), an aspiring artist, develops insomnia. To take his mind off his problem he spends his nights working at a local supermarket, where he meets colorful characters.

Jul 20, 2007 · Summary Based on the Oscar nominated short, Cashback is the tale of life on the graveyard shift at a supermarket. When a bad break-up leads to insomnia, art student Ben joins the nocturnal existence of a group of young grocers who indulge in the art of the imagination.
To do anything and everything but what you are paid to do. The markets’ resident idiots Barry (Michael Dixon) and Matt (Michael Lambourne) play pranks on employees and customers and run around wildly. Looking at any of the clocks in the store is bad. Sharon (Emilia Fox) simply refuses to look at any clocks.
